The stunning new Buick Avista Concept aims to combine the best possible performance with unparalleled elegance, and – based on new reports – it seems that GM aims to bring this concept model to production in the near future.
Rumors that the Buick Avista Concept would become a four-door coupe have all but been confirmed, thanks to an insider tip. Experts and enthusiasts have been pining after the model since it debuted at the most recent North American International Auto Show.
If the production version is essentially the same as the concept model, it will be powered by a 3.0-liter twin turbo V6 engine and an 8-speed automatic transmission and will also have twin exhaust outlets and rear wheel drive.
Surely, no other model reasonably likely to go into production is as futuristic, slick, and stylish as the Buick Avista Concept. We’ve got our fingers crossed that the production model hits dealerships in the next year or so.

Buick has been stepping up its game lately, with brand executives setting their sights on a younger target demographic and more luxurious, contemporary vehicles. After the reveal of the upcoming 2017 LaCrosse, the brand has been attracting some attention for their lineup’s updated platform and styling, and now they’re introducing another new vehicle with the Buick Avista concept.
The Avista shown at the Detroit Auto Show is described by critics as both elegant and aggressive, showing off a more sporty vibe than many of Buick’s other entries. Signature details such as a powerful front grille, sleek headlights, and dynamic lines make the Avista concept stand out, even though the current rendition of the model is not yet confirmed for mass production. Other features like a 400-hp turbocharged V6 and 20-inch wheels give the two-door car even more of an athletic atmosphere, bringing a bit of edgy performance to Buick’s lineup.
Though the Buick Avista concept is still only a concept at this stage, the 2017 LaCrosse and now this endeavor into the realm of luxury coupes point towards a more stylish future for the brand. As more and more Buick vehicles, such as the Regal sedan and the Enclave, near the end of their current generation, we may see new additions with more of Buick’s updated styling cues.
