The Super Bowl may be in the rearview mirror, but automakers such as Chevrolet and Chrysler are still putting out innovative new advertisements to bring in new audiences in clever ways.
While Chrysler put out their “President’s Day” advertisement, Chevy is seriously increased their game by hiring acclaimed film director Sam Raimi (Evil Dead, Spider-man) to direct an advertisement that’s also a horror-short.
You can watch the Sam Raimi Chevy ad above, but you can also see it soon at a theater near you. While it starts out as a spooky, classic-Raimi production, it quickly becomes a spoof on the horror genre.
The advertisement asks, “Wouldn’t it be nice to have a warning before bad things happen?” just as the main character of the “trailer” seems to go right into the room with the monster, in classic horror movie fashion.
With the 2016 Chevy Malibu and 2016 Chevy Cruze, you can receive warnings ahead of time that could possibly save your life. To learn more, visit us at Varney Buick GMC.
